Job Title: Process Engineering Lead – Global Operations Engineering

Location: Barcelona, Spain

To sustain this momentum, we are strengthening our Global Operations Engineering team with a Process Engineering Lead who will play a pivotal role in defining global standards, driving innovation, and ensuring operational excellence across our manufacturing network.

Why This Role Matters

This is a strategic, high-impact position responsible for overseeing equipment technologies and process standards across all manufacturing modalities, including semi-solids, aseptic filling, and packaging. You will act as the global subject matter expert (SME), lead Communities of Practice, and ensure harmonization of best practices across sites. Your work will directly influence product quality, scalability, and efficiency, supporting Galderma’s mission to deliver dermatology solutions to millions of patients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain global standards for equipment platforms and process technologies for semi-solids, aseptic filling, and packaging.
  • Act as global SME and lead Communities of Practice to share knowledge and align best practices.
  • Develop and deploy guidelines for equipment selection, design, and operation to ensure consistency and productivity across sites.
  • Establish global specifications and URS templates for new equipment procurement and upgrades.
  • Drive innovation projects, including adoption of emerging technologies (continuous manufacturing, robotics, digital twins).
  • Provide technical oversight for major capital projects and equipment installations across global sites.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, and corporate quality policies.
  • Collaborate with MS&T, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to align process technologies with product pipeline needs.
  • Mentor regional and site process engineering teams and lead global forums for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Define global KPIs for equipment reliability, OEE, and process efficiency, and benchmark performance across sites.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in Process Engineering within manufacturing operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven ability to set strategy, lead global teams, and deliver results in a matrixed environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing process technologies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Experience managing operations at scale with sound, independent judgment.
