Experienced Frontend Engineer - Webshop (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• Develop new features for the webshop based on given requirements and user needs

• Integrating our graphical user interfaces with the backend service landscape

• Taking a key role in understanding, developing, and supporting requirements of the product owner

• Working closely with product owner, UX- and frontend engineers on scalable frontend solutions for customer-facing components and pages across the web shop.

• Conduct code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality code.

• Being an ambassador for consistency, usability, and accessibility of our product interfaces

Your Profile

• Being a pure team player and love having freedom while being entrusted with responsibilities

• A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and a trained eye for UX & UI details

• SPAs are your first choice, when it comes to developing applications with React and most current JavaScript standards (ES2022 and beyond)

• You treat accessibility, performance, and testing as essential pillars of your professional work

• HTML5 and CSS are so simple, you sometimes mistakenly sign documents using div

• To improve the quality of your application, you like to use Typescript and test every line of code written

• Experience with test automation (Browser testing)

• You have experience working with GraphQL, including designing schemas, querying data, and optimizing performance.

• Because you are interested in the whole lifecycle of an application, the practices of Continuous Delivery and (Cloud-) infrastructure are well known to you and you love applying these micro services

Nice to have:

• Experience with headless content management systems e.g. Contentful
• Proficiency in SEO will be a strong asset for this role
• Experience with Optimizely or similar A/B testing tool
• Experience in performance optimization and skills in using the appropriate tools
• Good understanding of web vitals and their significance
